Participating in the final round, there were seven teams, with seven projects, selected from 30 entries in the preliminary round by the university’s students.
The seven projects include Recycling waste into bricks - a green solution for the future; Heat-resistant roof – sustainable solution from recycled plastic and straw; Recycling plastic waste - regenerating a green environment; The recycle hub; Green coffee; Replacing and producing environmentally friendly polymer nurseries; and Recycling air conditioner from plastic bottles.
During 20 minutes, the teams presented the purpose, content, and ability to solve environmental pollution in each project and answered the questions by the jury.
The projects in the final round proposed solutions to address plastic pollution systematically as well as creative and feasible ideas with a positive impact on reducing plastic pollution in Son La province.
The Organising Committee awarded the first prize to the “Recycling plastic waste - regenerating the green environment” project; the second prize to the “Recycling air conditioners from plastic bottles” project; the prize for the potential project to the “Recycle hub” project; and five consolation prizes to the winning teams.
The first and second prize winners will compete in the Demo Show Case programme in Ho Chi Minh City on July 26.
