MBBank Son La presents Tet gifts to Long He commune

A delegation of Military Bank (MBBank)’s branch in Son La province (MBBank Son La) on December 25 visited Long He commune, Thuan Chau district to extend Tet (Lunar New Year) greetings and deliver funding for the removal of temporary houses for poor households in the locality.

Long Hẹ, a particularly disadvantaged commune, is located 50 km from the district center and consists of 11 hamlets with over 950 households. The poverty rate is 17.5%. Since 2021, MBBank Son La has been assigned by the provincial People's Committee to assist the commune. The bank has sent working groups to the commune to capture the local socio-economic situation to develop practical, effective assistance plans. Additionally, it has mobilized individuals and organizations to contribute to improving the living standards and well-being of the local people.

As the Lunar New Year 2025 is approaching, MBBank Son La donated Tet gifts to the Party Committee and People's Committee of Long Hẹ commune. They also provided 60 million VND (2,360 USD) in support to three poor households facing housing difficulties, each with 20 million VND. The funds were donated by the bank’s employees.

In 2025, MBBank Son La will continue to collaborate with Long Hẹ commune to count the number of poor, near-poor, and policy beneficiary households in need of housing assistance, aiming to help stabilize their lives and ensure they can continue their production activities, contributing to the social welfare in the locality.
