It attracted 38 contestants from 25 primary, secondary and high schools in the city, who went through two rounds of competition: talent and debate.

With careful preparations, in the talent round, the contestants introduced themselves, their schools, and the tips to learn English well in English. They demonstrated their English speaking skills through singing, storytelling, and poem reading.

In the debate round, the contestants made presentations in English, covering such topics as dream careers, new occupations in the future, environmental protection, climate change, national culture, and AI. 

According to the organising board, the contestants pronounced clearly and accurately, had strong arguments, provided convincing evidence to defend their views, showed confidence, and used the language flexibly. Some of the presentations had unique content, expressing profound perspectives, and impressing the judges and the audience.

At the end of the contest, the organising board awarded three first, five second, six third, 11 consolation prizes, along with three prizes to the promising contestants.
