Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet on April 13 chaired a working session with departments, sectors, and enterprises to implement power development projects under the revised Power Development Plan VIII in the province.
During a voyage from April 3 to 13, a 10-member delegation from Son La province led by Nguyen Viet Cuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, joined Mission No. 8 under the command of Colonel Doan Bao Anh, Deputy Commander of Naval Region 3, to visit outposts in the Truong Sa special zone and the DK1 platforms.
The Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Division under the Son La provincial Department of Public Security on April 11 organised a public outreach and hand-on activities on firefighting and rescue operations at Tay Bac Square, attracting more than 1,200 studeants and local residents.
According to the ranking results on the National Public Service Portal, in March 2026, Son La province achieved a total score of 95.75 out of 100, ranking 7th among 34 provinces and cities in the index measuring service to citizens and businesses.
The provincial Youth Union, in coordination with Nhi Van Media JSC (Nhi Van Media), held the 2026 admission and career guidance fair at the provincial ethnic boarding high school on April 6.
