The People’s Committee of Son La province on October 2 opened an exhibition named “Son La – Historical Imprints through Archives”, as part of activities to mark the 16th provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure, and the province’s 130th founding anniversary (October 10, 1895 – 2025).
The People’s Committee of Mai Son commune launched the Lifelong Learning Week 2025, themed “Learn to develop yourself, master knowledge and technology, and contribute to building a strong and prosperous nation,” at Mai Son High-Quality Secondary School on October 2.
Heavy rains brought by Typhoon Bualoi between September 28 and 30 caused widespread damage in Son La province, particularly in its eastern and southeastern areas.
On the morning of September 30, although heavy rains still affected Son La province and numerous landslides made travel difficult, Son La Power Company (PC Son La) was determined to dispatch a working team to assist Ha Tinh Power Company in addressing power grid issues caused by Typhoon Bualoi.
Son La College on September 30 held a closing ceremony for the Vietnamese language training course for officials from northern Laos (K15) and Lao students (K23) for the 2024-2025 academic year.
