Training workshop enhances skills to develop tourism in Son La hydropower reservoir area

The provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism opened a training workshop on skills for tourism workers working in the Son La hydropower reservoir area on December 7 in Muong La district.

The event is attended by 45 officials and local people from various tourist sites in Muong La district. Over the course of three days (December 7–9), the participants are given an overview of the tourism situation; laws and documents guiding the implementation of the Tourism Law; documents and guidelines for tourism development in the province; the tourism development landscape in the country, the northwestern region, and Son La province.

They are also instructed how to make presentations at tourist sites; and provided with knowledge on tourism guiding and Vietnam’s tourism skill standards.

The training aims to enhance the quality of human resources to effectively support tourism development in the hydropower reservoir area, with the goal of making the Son La hydropower reservoir area a national tourism destination.
