Cultural house for La Ha ethnic community inaugurated

The People's Committee of Muong La district on March 9 inaugurated the cultural space for the La Ha ethnic community in Chieng Lao commune.

At the ceremony to inaugurate the cultural space for the La Ha ethnic community in Tang Khe residential area.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Pham Hong Phuong, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Electricity (EVN); Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; leaders of Muong La district, Son La Hydropower Company, and Huoi Quang – Ban Chat Hydropower Company.

 Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the project.

The cultural house is located in the Tang Khe residential area, Na Lech hamlet, Chieng Lao commune and its construction started in August 2024. Covering 365 square meters, it includes a hall, a stage, a storage room, a restroom, an exhibition room, and other auxiliary facilities. The total investment is nearly 2.5 billion VND (98,000 USD), supported by EVN.

The cultural house creates a space for collecting, researching, preserving, and promoting the values of ethnic cultural heritage, aligned with the goal of socio-economic development in the locality.

 The La Ha ethnic people in Chieng Lao commune, Muong La district, revive the Pang A Festival.Locals visit and shop at the booths displaying local agricultural products.


Right after the ceremony, the delegates planted a tree in the campus of the cultural house, toured the cultural space, and explored the agricultural exhibits. The local people re-enacted the Pang A Festival and engaged in traditional folk games.
