Provincial official attends Great National Unity Day in Song Ma

Member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee Trang Thi Xuan attended the Great National Unity Day in Residential Area 5, Song Ma town, Song Ma district.

At the festival, delegates and local people recalled the traditional day of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - 2024); and the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) in the current revolutionary cause.

Currently, Residential Area 5 has 282 households, with 1,139 members. The VFF Committee of the residential group regularly coordinates with mass organisations to disseminate laws in the community, mobilise people to properly implement the village conventions and regulations of the residential area, and donate nearly 40 million VND (1,576 USD) for fundraising events. In 2024, the rate of households earning the “family of culture” title reaches 92.38%; 100% of main roads and alleys are paved; and 100% of households gain regular and safe access to electricity and clean water for daily use.

Speaking at the event, Xuan requested the residential area to focus on implementing the campaigns "All people unite to build new-style rural areas, and civilised urban areas", and "Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese goods", and the movement "Joining hands to do away with temporary and dilapidated houses;" and promoting the self-management movement, and strengthening the fight against crimes.

Hiện nay, tổ dân phố 5 có 282 hộ, với 1.139 nhân khẩu. Ban công tác Mặt trận tổ dân phố thường xuyên phối hợp với các tổ chức đoàn thể tuyên truyền, phổ biến giáo dục pháp luật trong cộng đồng dân cư. Vận động nhân dân thực hiện tốt hương ước, quy ước của tổ; tham gia ủng hộ Quỹ “Ngày vì người nghèo”, "Đền ơn đáp nghĩa", "Người tàn tật và trẻ mồ côi"... được gần 40 triệu đồng. Năm 2024, tỷ lệ gia đình văn hóa đạt 92,38%; 100% tuyến đường trục ngõ được cứng hóa; 100% số hộ được sử dụng điện thường xuyên an toàn, sử dụng nước sinh hoạt hợp vệ sinh..

Phát biểu tại Ngày hội, đồng chí Tráng Thị Xuân đề nghị cấp ủy, Ban quản lý tổ dân phố và Ban công tác mặt trận tổ dân phố 5 tiếp tục tập trung triển khai các cuộc vận động “Toàn dân đoàn kết xây dựng nông thôn mới, đô thị văn minh”, “Người Việt Nam ưu tiên dùng hàng Việt Nam”, phong trào “Chung tay xóa nhà tạm, nhà dột nát”... Đẩy mạnh phong trào tự quản trong nhân dân; tham gia phòng, chống tội phạm và làm tốt việc hướng dẫn các hộ gia đình đăng ký thi đua đạt danh hiệu Gia đình văn hóa” trong năm 2025, góp phần xây dựng khu dân cư văn hóa.
