Provincial People’s Council members meet with voters in Tuong Ha commune

Group No. 12 of the 15th provincial People’s Council met with voters in Tuong Ha commune ahead of the council’s 12th session on November 24.

The meeting was attended by Quang Thi Xuyen, standing member of the provincial People’s Council and head of the council’s Board for Socio-Cultural Affairs; leaders of Tuong Ha, Gia Phu, Kim Bon, and Tan Phong communes; and a large number of voters from Tuong Ha.

After listening to brief reports from the commune leaders on the socio-economic development and national defence-security situation over the past 11 months and key tasks for December 2025, representatives of Group No. 12 informed voters about the results of the 33rd, 34th, 35th, 36th, and 37th thematic sessions of the provincial People’s Council; the results of addressing voters’ petitions submitted before and after the 11th session; and the schedule, venue, and main contents of the upcoming 12th session.

At the meeting, leaders and voters from the communes proposed competent authorities soon implement the resettlement project in Ban Coc 1 for 40 households from nine hamlets located in areas at risk of landslides; allocate funding to remedy the landslide point in Ban Pa (on the route from Tuong Ha to Kim Bon); invest in upgrading the road from National Highway 43 to the centre of Kim Bon commune and the road from Tan Phong to the former Bac Phong and Da Do communes; develop solutions to ensure traffic safety on Provincial Road 114 (from Tuong Ha to the former Muong Bang and Nam Phong communes).

They also urged special policies to support travel expenses for officials and civil servants who must cross the river; and building new cultural houses to meet residents’ community activity needs.

Group No. 12 of the provincial People’s Council and leaders of the Tuong Ha commune People’s Committee addressed and acknowledged voters’ opinions and proposals within their authority, and promised to forward remaining recommendations to relevant agencies for review and settlement in accordance with regulations.
