Every year, the centre coordinates with local authorities to organise conferences introducing job opportunities in communes and hamlets. At the conferences, labourers also get updates on recruitment plans of businesses inside and outside the province. In the first nine months of this year, it jointly held 119 such conferences for 4,669 labourers in districts and Son La city.
The centre’s director Vu Quang Khai said the unit has invited businesses that want to recruit workers to the conferences to provide information about job titles, recruitment needs, and legitimate rights and interests of employees, noting the events have attracted thousands of people.
In addition, the centre has strengthened its links with employment service centres of other provinces and vocational schools to stay updated on labour market developments.
At the same time, it has stepped up job consultation and introduction, labour supply at home and abroad, and labour market information provision through the website at http://vieclamsonla.net, a specialised facebook fanpage, and email: ttdvvl.sldtbxh@sonla.gov.vn; with transactions conducted via both phone and Zalo, creating favourable conditions for remote workers to participate in job exchanges.
It has regularly provided updates on labour recruitment inside and outside the province, and abroad through Facebook.
Between January and September, the centre provided career guidance for over 22,200 people, equal to 88.9% of the 2023 plan. At the same time, it coordinated with employers to help 1,789 others acquire stable jobs at TexHong Group, Tinh Loi (Regent) Garment Company Limited, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Vocational College, Brother Industries (Vietnam) Ltd, and Regina Hai Phong Co., Ltd.
In the coming time, the centre will maintain its coordination with other units in organising mobile conferences in communes and hamlets to popularise relevant policies, provide market information, and give advice to local labourers.
It will also further optimise IT applications to attract job seekers and employers, aiming to provide consultations for over 3,000 workers, of whom 800 are expected to be employed at businesses inside and outside the province./.
