Cultural game shows held in Chieng Lao, Muong La communes

The Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television, in coordination with the provincial Centre for Culture and Sports, held the “Ve Ban Em” (Back to My Village) game shows in Chieng Lao and Muong La communes on May 13-14.

A large number of residents from Chieng Lao commune join the game show.

The two game shows attracted more than 70 artisans and grassroots cultural performers from six teams representing Ta Sai, Cun and Nhap hamlets in Chieng Lao commune, and It, Na Loc and Chieng Te hamlets in Muong La commune.

Each featured three competition segments, including handicraft skills, folk singing and dancing, and traditional folk games. The teams showcased craftsmanship in traditional handicrafts, as well as their abilities in folk dance, singing and playing ethnic musical instruments, highlighting coordination, cohesion and teamwork in folk games.

The dexterity of the Thai ethnic community is showcased at the game show.

The game shows created a lively, vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere for participants, drawing large crowds from both communes to watch and cheer.

The programme has also been maintained for years, with a focus on grassroots engagement, providing opportunities for residents to exchange cultural and artistic practices and improving local spiritual and cultural life.
