"Lighting up rural roads" project presented to Pi Toong commune
The Son La Power Company on January 3 coordinated with the provincial Department of Industry and Trade to organise a customer appreciation programme during which they handed over the "Lighting up rural roads" project and gave gifts to disadvantaged students in Pi Toong commune, Muong La district.

The project includes 48 solar-powered lights installed on the main roads of the commune with a total length of 1.8 km, and 36 pole positions. Its total value is over 430 million VND (16,910 USD) sponsored by the Son La Power Company. It is expected to enable local people to travel conveniently, and help ensure traffic safety, contributing to maintaining security and order, and creating conditions to promote local socio-economic development.

In addition, the programme presented 10 gifts to 10 disadvantaged students of Pi Roong Primary and Secondary School, worth 500,000 VND each.
