Taking part in the programme were nearly 900 officials, teachers, staff, parents and secondary students from four schools, including Ninh Thuan Primary and Secondary School, Muoi Noi Primary and Secondary School, Bon Phang Primary and Secondary School, and Ban Lam Primary and Secondary School.
At the event, commune police officers outlined the current drug crime and abuse landscape, guided students on identifying common narcotics, including traditional drugs, synthetic substances and school-disguised variants, They highlighted their harmful effects on health, education and families, as well as broader society, alongside relevant legal provisions on drug prevention and control involving students.
The programme also featured a skit competition, with each team presenting a distinct story, perspective and message, all aimed at raising awareness and reinforcing individual and family responsibility in drug prevention and control.
Through thoughtfully staged, real-life skits, students reenacted everyday situations, dangerous temptations and the severe consequences of drug abuse, delivering a clear message: Say no to drugs - for your own future.
During an exchange with commune police officers, students demonstrated their knowledge through responses to scenarios such as what to do when discovering a peer using drugs, how to respond when offered unknown substances, and their responsibilities in drug prevention.
The programme equipped students with a clearer understanding of drug types, particularly emerging substances infiltrating daily life, and provided practical skills to identify, avoid and respond to risky situations. It also helped foster healthier lifestyles, encouraging students to value themselves, their families and their future, while spreading positive messages within the community.
At the close of the programme, organisers awarded one first, one second and two third prizes for the schools in the skit competition.
