Muong La organises a dialogue between the Secretary of the communal Party Committee and local organisations and individuals.
Bui Viet Cuong, Chairman of the Muong La People’s Committee, shared: “Every year, the commune cooperates with enterprises, training institutions, and relevant agencies to provide career counseling, job introduction, and career orientation tailored to different groups of workers. Along with the State’s policies, it has effectively integrated the target programmes on new-style rural development, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development for ethnic minority and mountainous areas, thereby mobilising resources to simultaneously provide vocational training and support people in accessing credit, crop varieties, livestock breeds, and production techniques.”
To facilitate direct connections between workers and employers, Muong La organised the Job Fair 2025, with the participation of 15 major enterprises seeking large numbers of employees and offering attractive benefits, including Brother Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Jinko Solar Vietnam Co., Ltd.; and Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Nguyen Xuan Giang, representative of Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd., said: “We highly appreciate the young, hardworking, and quick-learning workforce in Muong La. The company currently needs about 1,500 workers. Employees will receive a monthly income of 8-13 million VND (303-492 USD), along with dormitory accommodation, shuttle buses, free meals, and full insurance benefits.”
Recruiting units distribute leaflets to guide Muong La students in choosing suitable careers.
Tong Van Hung, from Pi Tay Hamlet, shared: “After receiving counseling at the job fair, I decided to apply to Seojin Vietnam. My current income is around 18 million VND per month. My family’s life has improved significantly, and I am now able to better support my parents and children.”
To improve workforce quality, Muong La commune has coordinated with colleges and employment service centres to open vocational training courses based on employer demand, ensuring that trainees have jobs immediately after graduation. Currently, 3,184 workers from the commune are employed at industrial parks outside the province, and nearly 300 workers participate in labour export programmes. The average income of workers in industrial parks ranges from 10 to 15 million VND per month.

In addition, the commune has also placed strong emphasis on labour export. It has collaborated with the provincial Employment Service Centre and labour export enterprises to provide accurate and comprehensive information on labour markets in Japan, Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, and the Middle East. Workers have received full counseling and guidance, from career selection and foreign language training to access to preferential loans.
At present, the commune is partnering with the Hanoi-based Labour Export, Trade and Tourism Joint Stock Company to open foreign language training courses locally. Workers are eligible for low-interest loans from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies. The commune also focuses on training, recruitment connections, and production capital support through the programme “Support for Job Creation, Maintenance, and Expansion.” To date, hundreds of workers have accessed preferential loans, enabling them to expand small-scale business and production models, thereby increasing their income.
With the coordinated efforts of the communal Party Committee and authorities, employment outcomes in Muong La have seen significant improvement. The proportion of workers with stable jobs has increased, and many households have risen from poverty to near-poverty, and from near-poverty to well-off, thanks to employment in industrial parks or labour export. The material and spiritual well-being of rural residents has improved, positively contributing to local socio-economic development.
