Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh on January 20 led a working delegation of the province to visit and present gifts to several policy beneficiary families and people who rendered service to the nation in Son La city.

The provincial Journalists Association and the provincial Literature and Arts Association on January 20 presented the copies of spring issues of several newspapers, and literary and artistic publications, which had been displayed the Spring Newspaper Festival 2025, to the provincial Border Guard Command.

The Labour Federation of Thuan Chau district on January 20 organised a Lunar New Year (Tet) programme, which saw the attendance of Lo Viet Phuong, deputy head of the National Assembly Standing Committee’s Ombudsman Commission, and local officials. 

The Long Sap Border Guard Station, in collaboration with sponsors, held a programme for residents in Long Sap and Chieng Khua communes, Moc Chau township on January 19-20, on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025.

Lo Viet Phuong, deputy head of the National Assembly Standing Committee’s Ombudsman Commission, and other provincial officials attended the “Tet xum vay – Xuan on Dang” (Gathering on Tet, expressing gratitute towards the Party) programme on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) in Quynh Nhai district on January 19.

The Red Cross Society of Son La city on January 19 organised the "Humanitarian Tet” Market for poor people as the Year of the Snake 2025 nears.

To welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025, the Happy Land Moc Chau tourist area, located in Lun hamlet, Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau district, has launched the "Old Tet Village" space, attracting a large number of visitors to explore, experience, and capture beautiful moments.

A boat racing festival and various activities took place on January 18-19 in Ta Bu commune, Muong La district to celebrate the upcoming Party congresses at all levels, the Party’s 95th founding anniversary, and the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025.

A book and newspaper exhibition and a spring press festival themed around the Party opened at Vincom Plaza Son La, Son La city on January 19.

Van Ho district is organising the "Hamlet Tet Market" 2025 on January 17-19.

The provincial centre for supporting the development of inclusive education, in collaboration with the Son La city Police, the Son La Electricity Company, and the Son La Urban Environment and Services JSC, on January 18 inaugurated and handed over a project supporting children with disabilities, and give gifts to them on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025.

The provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Red Cross Society of Thuan Chau district and sponsors, organized a charity market for the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025 in Muoi Noi commune on January 18.

The Son La provincial Red Cross Society, in collaboration with its counterpart from Hanoi’s Thuong Tin district, on January 18 organised a programme to offer Tet gifts to residents in Chieng Dong commune, Mai Son district, as the Lunar New Year is approaching.  

The Ministry of Education and Training has announced the results of the National Excellent Student Exam for the 2024-2025 academic year, with 34 representatives from Son La obtaining awards.

The Quyet Thang ward Red Cross Society held a programme on January 20, during which local residents were given Tet gifts.
