During the Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign 2024, the Youth Union of Tay Bac University will organise a range of activities for groups of young people, with its peak to last from April to August. Through widespread, safe and effective on-site activities, the campaign is set to address issues of social concern, contribute to new-style rural area building, protect the environment, and ensure social welfare in remote areas.

A recycled costume contest is held in response to World Environment Day (June 5).

In response to World Environment Day (June 5), within the framework of the programme, there was a recycled costume contest with the participation of eight teams from the club of volunteer students of Tay Bac University.

The teams presented 16 fashion products for men and women recycled from domestic waste, such as nylon bags and cardboard, and packaging, sending out the message "Do not throw garbage indiscriminately, recycling waste together, protecting a clean and green environment."

Youth union members exchange recyclable waste for plants at the programme.

In response to the 6th "Clean up Vietnam" campaign, a waste collection drive launched by Xanh Vietnam, during which nearly 400 youth union members, young people and volunteers collected and classified waste at dormitory, school campus, Chu Van An street’s branches 1 and 2, Dang Thai Mai street, and markets. After more than two hours, they collected over 7 tonnes of waste, which was transported by Son La Urban and Environmental Services JSC to the treatment site.
