Exciting “Miss Moc Chau Dairy Cow 2023” pageant

The Moc Chau Dairy Cattle Breeding Joint Stock Company on October 15 organized the 17th "Miss Moc Chau Dairy Cow 2023" beauty contest.

In the final round of this year's contest, there were 86 dairy cows carefully selected from 10 breeding units and the breeding center of Moc Chau Milk Co. They gather all the typical characteristics of the purebred Holstein Friesian cattle breed, with beautiful appearance, healthy, harmonious and balanced body, and large stature. Especially, their growth and milk production indicators must be superior to other cows.

The organising committee awarded the crown of "Miss Moc Chau Dairy Cow 2023” to the "cow" with HS number 36548 of Pham Thi Nhuan from Vuon Dao 1 unit. In addition, it honoured the first and second runners-up, and presented additional prizes, including milking cow, dry cow, heifer, weaned calf and milk-fed calf, with a total prize value of more than 600 million VND (24,530).

A new feature of this year's contest was a dairy cow auction for farmers to exchange high-quality cows. In addition, an exhibition showcasing the most advanced machines and products of the Moc Chau Dairy Cattle Breeding Joint Stock Company was also held.

 Local people and tourists cheer for the competition.

The "Miss Moc Chau Dairy Cow” pageant was first held in 2004. Over the years, the contest has become a cultural feature of cow breeding households on the Moc Chau plateau.
