The Yen Chau booth showcases methods for identifying genuine and counterfeit goods.
The booth displays a range of products including consumer goods, clothing and footwear that are commonly counterfeited or violate intellectual-property rights, as well as items of unclear origin that market surveillance forces have recently seized. Genuine products are also presented for comparison.
Officers from the provincial market surveillance agency show residents how to identify genuine goods and counterfeits.
Visitors received hands-on guidance from market surveillance officers on how to identify genuine and counterfeit goods, spot products that fail food-safety standards or lack clear origin, and recognise smuggled items. They were also briefed on the health risks of using fake or unsafe products. The initiative aims to foster a fairer competitive environment, protect legitimate producers and traders, and safeguard consumers’ rights.
