At the juvenile fish release ceremony to replenish and restore aquatic resources in Ban Xa hamlet, Muong Khieng commune.
Currently, Muong Khieng commune has 42 hectares of aquaculture, with output exceeding 1,000 tonnes per year. However, natural aquatic resources are declining, and many valuable fish species such as Anh Vu, Lang Cham, Chien and Chay Dat are at risk of depletion. The main cause is overexploitation, particularly with the use of electric shocks, toxic chemicals and destructive fishing gear.
