Staff from the Nam Lau General Service Centre guide farmers on how to care for coffee trees after harvest.
The commune has nearly 3,000 households, with around 85% of them growing coffee on more than 1,770 hectares. The coffee harvest in 2025 was a bumper crop, with an average yield of 7-8 tonnes per hectare. The price reached a record high of 28,000-30,000 VND per kilogramme of fresh cherries, bringing in more than 200 million VND (7,666 USD) per hectare.
Currently, the local People's Committee is conducting a review of the entire coffee-growing area to stabilise the concentrated production zone. It also encourages farmers to replant old, low-yielding coffee areas and prioritise the use of high-yield, high-quality coffee varieties that are resistant to pests and diseases, and suitable for local conditions. Farmers are also being guided to follow the proper replanting techniques.
