Workshop discusses inclusive supply chain innovations in Son La

The consortium of Xlabs Co., Ltd. and Endeva, in collaboration with the Son La Centre for Agricultural Extension and Digital Transformation, organised a workshop titled “Inclusive Supply Chain Innovations in Son La” on May 21–22.

The workshop brought together more than 100 participants, including international experts, representatives of development organisations, businesses, cooperatives within the province, and solution providers in logistics, traceability, digital transformation, finance, and agricultural trade.

This activity was part of the sub-project “Strengthening Inclusive Supply Chain Innovations in Son La,” under the GREAT Project funded by the Australian Government. The project has been implemented since 2017 with a total investment of 67.4 million AUD (48 million USD), focusing on supporting ethnic minority women in the northwestern region to enhance their economic resilience through agricultural and tourism development.

At the workshop, participants shared preliminary research findings on agricultural supply chain innovations in Son La and exchanged views on inclusive business models, co-creation experiences with ethnic minority women, and the roles of stakeholders within the ecosystem supporting businesses and cooperatives.

Experts share solutions for developing inclusive agricultural supply chains. 

Businesses introduce traceability and agricultural logistics solutions. 

Delegates also engaged in discussions on each stage of the supply chain, including production, harvesting, transportation, storage, processing, and market access. They assessed existing innovations, identified strengths and limitations, and proposed solutions to enhance the participation of ethnic minority women in agricultural value chains.

The workshop also highlighted key trends in agricultural supply chains for 2026, such as digital transformation, transparent traceability, green development, compliance with modern market standards, and stronger supply chain linkages. Many businesses introduced practical application models related to product traceability, agricultural logistics, digitalised input management, cost management, and financial solutions for cooperatives and agricultural enterprises.
