Yen Chau currently has more than 700 hectares of mango, with an estimated output of nearly 5,000 tonnes in 2026. In recent years, the commune has focused on directing and supporting farmers in applying scientific and technical advances to production, improving orchards, practicing fruit bagging, pruning, pest management, thus enhancing both fruit quality and economic value.

The commune has over 122 hectares of mangoes certified under VietGAP standards; more than 50 hectares have been granted cultivation area codes for export; and 32 fruit cooperatives are currently operating, participating in production linkages and product consumption networks. In the 2026 crop, the commune has proactively implemented trade promotion activities, product branding campaigns, supply-demand matching, and market expansion initiatives.

In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman Cong acknowledged and commended the achievements in developing the commodity mango production zone in Yen Chau commune. He urged local authorities to continue promoting the application of scientific and technological advances, expand production areas under quality standards, improve the management of cultivation area codes, strengthen production–processing–consumption linkages, and enhance trade promotion and branding efforts for Yen Chau mangoes. These measures, he noted, will help increase product value, raise farmers’ incomes, and promote sustainable agricultural development.

The Yen Chau Mango Festival 2026 takes place from May 29 to May 31 with a variety of rich and engaging activities, including mango picking contests, fashion design and catwalk performances themed on agriculture, traditional bamboo dance competitions, decoration of mango tree and fruit symbolic models, folk games, and exhibitions showcasing local agricultural products.
