Over 700 athletes participate in Son La Marathon Elite Hill 2024
The Son La Elite Hill Marathon 2024 took place at Tay Bac (Northwest) Square in Son La city on October 6, drawing over 700 athletes from agencies, businesses, communes and wards in Son La city and clubs in and outside the province.

The athletes competed in men’s and women’s events with distances of 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km. They started from Northwest Square and passed through major streets of Son La city and newly completed urban areas, including Nguyen Van Linh, Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Quoc Viet, Nguyen Luong Bang, 3/2, Lo Van Gia – Dien luc, To Hieu, and Elitte Hill Urban Area in Chieng Coi ward..

From the centre of Chieng Hoa commune, we travelled over 25 kilometres of rugged, winding dirt roads, passing through dense forests, steep hills, and rocky terrain, crossing numerous streams before finally reaching Tao Van Moi hamlet. The challenging journey deepened our admiration for the teachers who continue to stay and “sow knowledge” in this remote mountainous area despite countless difficulties.
