Son La wins nine medals at 2024 National Age Groups Taekwondo Championship

Son La province’s team won three gold, two silver and four bronze medals at the National Age Groups Taekwondo Championship – CJ 2024 held in Tien Giang province from August 15-22.

 

Athlete Hoang Thi Thu Huyen wins gold in the 41kg category.

The tournament was jointly organised by the General Department of Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Republic of Korea’s CJ Group and the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation.

This year’s championship saw competition from over 1,300 coaches and athletes from 44 units nationwide. Competitors participated in four age groups, under 12 years old, 12-14 years old, 15-17 years old, and 18-20 years old, for both boys and girls.

Athletes win gold in the U14 female team’s sparring competition.

Son La sent 14 athletes and two coaches to the tournament.

Athlete Nguyen Duc Trung wins gold in the 45kg category.
