Born in 1999 in To Pang hamlet, Chieng Pan commune, Nghia developed a passion for sports at an early age. She began competing in domestic Pencak Silat tournaments in 2017, securing her first gold medal that year. Since then, she has become a standout athlete of Vietnam, contributing significantly to the nation's achievements in regional and international competitions.
Nghia’s accolades include two SEA Games gold medals (2021 and 2023), four consecutive Asian gold medals (2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023), and four world championship golds (2018, 2019, 2022, and 2024).
At the ceremony, district leaders presented the athlete with flowers and congratulations, commending her as one of Vietnam’s brightest sporting talents. They also highlighted her role in promoting the image and people of Son La province, and Yen Chau district in particular, to both national and international friends.
