Bac Yen district’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee holds 16th congress

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Bac Yen district on May 22 organised its 16th Congress for the 2024-2029 tenure.

In the past term, the committee coordinated with member organisations to do well dissemination work and encourage people to implement the Party's guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, and patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, well promote the people's right to mastery and build the national unity bloc.

Attention has been paid to persuading locals to actively shift production and implement models of growing fruit trees on sloping land; coordinating with the police, unions, and hamlet management boards to consolidate and maintain 953 self-managing inter-family groups on security and order and 99 grassroots reconciliation teams to contribute to maintaining political security, and social order and safety. It also encouraged members to actively respond to the campaign "All people unite to build new-style rural and civilised urban areas".

With the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", in the 2024-2029 term, the VFF Committee of Bac Yen district and its member organisations will continue to innovate operation methods, promote patriotic emulation movements, improve the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism activities, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and political system, coupled with upholding the people's right to mastery and building the national unity bloc in the new situation.

The congress negotiated to select 51 delegates to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Yen district for the 2024-2029 term; and 15 official delegates and three alternate ones to attend the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Son La province for the tenure.
