Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh, and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Lo Minh Hung co-chaired the events.
Implementing the conclusion, the steering board has focused on comprehensive leadership and direction in all areas. Total state budget revenue as of September had reached over 2.4 trillion VND (97.5 million USD); and total social investment capital since 2021 has hit about 32 trillion VND, with a growth rate of 7% a year. The city has had three out of five communes meeting the enhanced new-style rural criteria. It is currently preparing profiles to seek recognition for Chieng Den commune in 2024.
To date, three out of the eight targets set in the conclusion have been completed, including poverty rate; rate of administrative procedures provided in the form of online public services at level 4; and rate of applications of Son La city, communes and wards processed online. The remaining targets have been implemented as planned.
Delegates proposed solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles related to investment in building several projects; disbursement of public investment capital; management and operation of rubber dams on Nam La stream. They also discussed submitting to the Prime Minister adjustments to the planning of the Son La Prison relic site; handling projects that have been granted land; moving livestock and poultry farming out of urban areas and rural residential areas; and waste classification at source.
Speaking at the conference, Khanh assigned relevant units to focus on directing departments, agencies and sectors to effectively implement tasks and solutions in order to gradually turn Son La city into a first-tier urban area with green, fast and sustainable development, in compliance with Son La province’s master plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister.
More efforts are needed to invest in completing key technical and social infrastructure; promptly solve difficulties and obstacles in the investment and construction process; improve the capacity of local budget management, and strive to fulfil revenue collection in both quantity and quality, other tasks and solutions set out in various fields, he added.
