Forces fix consequences of landslide on National Highway 6 bypass in Son La city

On the morning of July 27, a landslide occurred at Km304+620 on a road bypassing National Highway 6 in Lua hamlet, Hua La commune, Son La city, with about 5,000m3 of soil and rock covering the road surface, causing traffic congestion.

The Project Management Unit 3 (PMU3) under the Department for Roads of Vietnam has mobilised four excavators, 10 trucks and workers to work around the clock to fix the landslide consequences. By the afternoon of July 28, about 3,000 cubic meters of soil had been cleared, reaching about 60%.

The PMU3 is determined to work overnight. In case of favourable weather conditions, with no rain, it is expected that on the morning of July 29, the work will be completed, ensuring conditions for vehicles to go through.
