Get-together held on Tet occasion

Lo Viet Phuong, deputy head of the National Assembly Standing Committee’s Ombudsman Commission, and other provincial officials attended the “Tet xum vay – Xuan on Dang” (Gathering on Tet, expressing gratitute towards the Party) programme on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) in Quynh Nhai district on January 19.

The Quynh Nhai district Labour Federation reported on activities to take care of trade union members and workers in the district on the Tet occasion. To date, grassroots trade unions have visited and presented gifts to 1,448 members and workers with a total value of 374 million VND (14,760 USD).

Deputy head of the National Assemnly Standing Committee’s Ombudsman Commission Lo Viet Phuong presents gifts to policy beneficiaries and people who rendered service to the nation in Quynh Nhai district.

On this occasion, Phuong presented 20 gifts to policy beneficiaries and people who rendered service to the nation in Quynh Nhai district; and handed over 50 gifts, each worth 1.3 million VND, from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to local trade unionists and workers living in difficult circumstances. The provincial and district Labour Federations presented 180 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to union members and workers in the district.

Phuong emphasised that the Party and the State always pay attention to the material and spiritual lives of workers and labourers. He requested local workers and labourers to continue to strive to overcome difficulties and accompany agencies, units and enterprises for sustainable development; and build an increasingly strong Vietnamese working class.
