The delegation included Hoang Thi Doi, deputy head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies, and leaders of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and a number of Son La’s departments and agencies.
The delegation of Son La province offered incense to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs at the Martyrs’ Temple in the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, the A1 Martyrs’ Cemetery, and the Tong Khao Martyrs’ Cemetery. The delegation expressed deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, national unification, and nation building and safeguarding.
Before the souls of heroic martyrs, the delegation vowed to join efforts to unanimously overcome difficulties, and continue to promote the glorious traditions of the nation. They are determined to develop Son La province in a green, rapid and sustainable manner, deserving the great sacrifices of previous generations for the revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese Party and people. The Party Organisation, administration and people of all ethnic groups in Son La province will forever remember the heroic martyrs.

Dien Bien province has eight martyrs' cemeteries which are the resting places of 6,673 martyrs. The A1 Martyrs’ Cemetery A1 houses 645 martyrs (53 with partial identification and 592 anonymous martyrs). At the Tong Khao Martyrs’ Cemetery, there are 2,475 martyrs, of them 685 with full identification, 275 with partial identification, and 1,515 anonymous. Son La province has 92 martyrs resting at the Tong Khao Martyrs’ Cemetery.
