Phu Yen organises “All people join hands in safeguarding national security” festival

The People's Committee of Phu Yen district on August 12 organised the “All people join hands in safeguarding national security” festival 2024 in Suoi To commune. The event was attended by Vi Duc Tho, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee.

In recent years, the “All people join hands in safeguarding national security” movement has been carried out widely in Phu Yen district, creating a strong influence, and attracting the participation of a large number of people.

To date, the district has established 202 people's security teams, 203 security and order safeguarding teams at the grassroots level, 202 mediation teams, and 1,417 self-managed inter-family groups, together with 41 firefighting and safety residential clusters; 19 firefighting inter-family groups, and self-managed clan models in ensuring security and order in three mountainous communes.

Speaking at the event, Tho requested the district Party Committee and People's Committee to promote the building of the Party, the administration, the People's Public Security force, and forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level. The police force was urged to regularly take actions to suppress all types of crimes, handle cases related to security and order quickly and thoroughly to avoid the emergency of "hot spots”.

On this occasion, the provincial Department of Public Security and the People's Committee of Phu Yen district awarded the certificates of merit to five collectives and eight individuals with outstanding achievements in the implementation of the movement.

At the festival, cultural exchange activities and volleyball and football competitions also took place, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere.
