Poster exhibition marks 80th anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army

A poster exhibition opened at Tay Bac (Northwest) Square in Son La city on December 17 to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the All-People Defence Day (December 22, 1989 - 2024).

An art performance celebrates the exhibition.

The event is jointly organised by the provincial Department of Culture and Cinema, the Information and Training Department of the provincial Military Command.

The exhibition features eight large placards displaying nearly 30 award-winning propaganda artworks by artists from across the country. These pieces focus on the theme of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of the All-People Defence Day. They powerfully depict the glorious traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army over its 80-year journey, highlighting the image of the “Uncle Ho's Soldiers” in the renewal period.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

The display aims to raise public awareness and foster a sense of patriotism, national pride, and the spirit of “to fight, to win” to protect the homeland. It also emphasises the responsibility of party members, officials, and citizens for building the army, strengthening national defence and safeguarding the socialist Vietnam in the new era.

The exhibition will run from December 16-25.

Delegates visit the exhibition.
