Provincial chairman Hoang Quoc Khanh becomes Secretary of provincial Party Committee

Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, has been approved by the Politburo to be Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The Politburo’s decision on approving Khanh’s new position was announced by Mai Van Chinh, member of the Party Central Committee and standing deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, at a conference in Son La province on August 6.

The conference also saw the presence of Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and head of the committee’s Organisation Commission.

Presenting the decision to and congratulating Hoang Quoc Khanh on his new mission and responsibility, Hung asked the new provincial Party chief to continue to inherit the achievements and experiences of his predecessors.

He expressed a belief that with intelligence, capacity and strong political mettle, Khanh will successfully complete the assigned tasks; join efforts with the provincial Party Committee and its standing members, the entire army and people in the province to fulfill the Resolution of the 15th Son La provincial Party Congress, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and making good preparations for the Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress.

Speaking at the conference, Khanh expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and Organisation Commission for entrusting him with this important responsibility. He thanked the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, the provincial Party Committee, and former key leaders of the province for their trust and support.

He promised to promote the achievements of the locality and make efforts to fulfill his assigned tasks. He said he will work with the provincial Party Committee and its Standing Board to promote solidarity and unity to successfully realize the goals set in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the provincial Party Congress.
