Son La, Luang Prabang Veterans’ Associations sign cooperation agreement

The Veterans' Associations of Son La province and Laos’ Luang Prabang province on November 13 held talks and signed a cooperation agreement.

 

At the talks betweent the Veterans' Associations of Son La and Luang Prabang provinces.

The event was chaired by Colonel Hoang Manh Long, President of the Son La Veterans’ Association, and Lieutenant Colonel Xayphon Khomalun, President of the Luang Prabang Veterans' Association.

The two associations reviewed their activities in recent times, shared experience in carrying out their missions and organizing emulation movements. They also explored solutions to enhance the quality of their work in a way that is tailored to the specific conditions of each province.

The Veterans' Assocations of Son La and Luang Prabang provinces sign the cooperation agreement.

Following their discussions, both sides reached consensus on cooperation areas and signed an agreement for future collaboration. Under the pact, they will continue working together to promote the special friendship and solidary and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, people, and veterans' associations of Vietnam and Laos. The collaboration will cover the exchange of information, documents, memorabilia, and the remains of fallen Vietnamese soldiers, transporters, and experts who died in Laos.

In addition, the two associations will share experience in supporting veterans' economic development, raising funds to assist poor members, and creating conditions for veteran-owned enterprises in both countries to explore business opportunities. They will also work together to improve organizational methods, exchange best practices, and facilitate future mutual visits and experience exchanges.
