Son La receives over 20 billion VND in support for fixing natural disaster consequences

As of August 25, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee had received over 20 billion VND from agencies, units, businesses, and individuals inside and outside the province in support of local people affected by natural disasters.

 

The Cluster of Tourism Associations of the Red River Delta provinces presents money to support the fixing of natural disaster consequences in Son La province.

The donations were made in response to an appeal launched by the committee on August 2.

In addition, organisations and individuals provided the affected communes with goods, household items and other necessities, with an estimated amount of over 4.6 billion VND. They also directly supported these communes with cash of over 2.1 billion VND.

To date, the provincial relief mobilisation committee has delivered timely support for 13 households with people dead, missing and injured due to natural disasters with a total amount of 63 million VND; assisted 500 affected households in Thuan Chau and Mai Son districts with 1 million VND each; and 50 families of war invalids, sick soldiers and relatives of martyrs in these districts with 1 million VND each.
