During the 30-day course, the officers learned about the history of the special traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos; national territory; the agreement on land border and land border gate management regulations between Vietnam and Laos; plots of hostile and reactionary forces against the two countries; border patrols and the use of border demarcation maps; and mass mobilisation in border management and control, reconnaissance, logistics, and technical work in border protection; and how to use K54 pistol.

At the end of the training course, all of the participants were eligible for certification, of them six presented with the certificates of merit by the provincial Border Guard Command for their outstanding performance./.
