Van Ho holds “All people join hands in safeguarding national security” festival 2024

The People's Committee of Van Ho district on August 9 organised the model “All people join hands in safeguarding national security” festival 2024 in Song Khua commune. Attending the event was Nguyen Ngoc Van, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and Director of the provincial Department of Public Security.

The “All people join hands in safeguarding national security” movement has been widely carried out across Van Ho district in recent times, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety.

The district has 115 grassroots security and order protection teams; 115 people's security teams; 115 mediation teams; 24 youth volunteer teams to protect hamlets; 115 firefighting teams; 10 self-managed inter-family firefighting teams; 804 self-managed inter-family security and order groups, four youth groups with no crimes or social evils, and 12 zalo & security camera models.

Since the beginning of this year, the self-managed models have helped the public security force investigate 125 security and order-related incidents; seized 52 homemade guns of various types; and successfully captured one extremely dangerous wanted criminal.

Speaking at the festival, the Director of the provincial Department of Public Security praised the results and achievements in ensuring security and order and the implementation of the movement in Van Ho district.

He requested the local Party committees and authorities to continue to direct and effectively implement the movement at the grassroots level, and closely coordinate with the police force to effectively carry out the task of preventing and combating crimes and social evils.

On this occasion, the provincial Department of Public Security presented its certificates of merit to three collectives and four individuals; and the district People's Committee granted the certificates of merit to four collectives and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the movement.
