VFF Son La launches fundraising campaign to support typhoon victims

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province (VFF Son La) on September 12 launched a fundraising campaign to support efforts to fix consequences caused by super typhoon Yagi.

 

The fundraising campaign to support typhoon victims is launched.

Attending the launching ceremony were Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and members of the provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, sectors, and socio-political organisations in the province.

In response to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) on September 10, 2024 to mobilise support for affected people to overcome the consequences of typhoon Yagi, VFF Son La and the provincial Relief Mobilisation Committee launched the campaign, calling on agencies, units, organisations, businesses, philanthropists and people inside and outside the province to make donations to help residents in disaster-hit areas, helping them soon restore production and normalise their lives.

The organisers committed to allocating and using donations in a timely, transparent, appropriate and legal manner.

Right at the launching ceremony, the delegates made donations totaling over 206 million VND ($8,378).
