
At the festival, there were various cultural and sports competitions, including banh day (sticky rice) pounding, tug-of-war, stick pushing, stilt walking, crossbow shooting, and tu lu (a traditional game), with the participation of over 200 athletes from the hamlets in Hang Dong commune. The teams and athletes competed enthusiastically and energetically, delivering exciting and intense performances. The competitions received enthusiastic cheers and encouragement from a large crowd of spectators and tourists, creating a lively atmosphere.

In addition, the festival also featured stalls displaying agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) items from Hang Dong commune, such as pickled bamboo shoots with chili and Thac Rong tea. There was also a cultural space showcasing the Mong ethnic group’s traditions, including embroidery, textile weaving, musical instruments, and traditional clothing.





At the end of the programme, the organising board awarded 13 first, 13 second, 13 third, and five consolation prizes to the teams and athletes who achieved outstanding results.

The festival took place in a joyful and exciting atmosphere, with both the locals and tourists celebrating together. At the same time, it contributed to the restoration, preservation, and promotion of the cultural values of the Mong ethnic people. Hang Dong commune will maintain the "Vo ngua tren may" festival as an annual event to promote the local natural and cultural tourism potential, attract investment, and develop sustainable tourism.
