This year's festival includes a unique space offering a chance for visitors to experience the culture of the Thai ethnic group, including traditional weaving, brocade weaving and cake making, and art performances of gongs and ‘dam duong’ (rice grinding).
The activities of experiencing spinning and weaving helped the younger generation and tourists understand the process of creating traditional brocade fabrics.
In addition, the organisers also displayed and introduced OCOP (one commune one product) items and typical local agricultural products.
Traditional folk games of the Thai ethnic group such as "danh yen", "danh dao", “crossing bamboo bridge” and "o an quan" brought interesting experiences to locals and visitors regarding the unique features of life.
Notably, there was a chopstick making competition, attracting the participation of 14 teams with 28 artisans from localities in the district. In half an hour, the artisans quickly split bamboo and made chopsticks that meet all the criteria of length and diameter. At the end of the competition, the Huy Ha commune team won the first prize with 16 pairs of chopsticks completed.
Cultural experience activities and traditional folk games created an exciting atmosphere, helping the locality promote and introduce beautiful traditional cultural features to tourists. This was also an opportunity for the district to build cultural tourism products in the following years.
