Moc Chau Culture and Tourism Week 2023: Bustling festival on the plateau

The Moc Chau Culture and Tourism Week 2023 was opened in the district on September 1 morning.

The programme includes a wide range of unique cultural, sport and tourism activities featuring the beautiful land and the friendly and hospitable people of Moc Chau.

Coming to the programme, visitors can not only contemplate the natural beauty and learn about the local traditional culture, but also participate in various activities and games, such as attending a brocade market, pushing sticks, performing ‘xoe’ dances, ‘tu lu’, pounding ‘banh day’ (round glutinous rice cake), throwing ‘con’ (cloth ball), trying local dishes, enjoying community cultural and Mong ethnic folk art performances, and visiting photo exhibitions. The highlights of the programme are street cultural activities introducing folk songs, folk dances, and unique ethnic musical instruments with the participation of both local people and tourists.

Cultural, sport and tourism activities are organised annually by Moc Chau district on the occasion of the National Day (September 2), and have long become a special event for local residents and tourists who love Moc Chau. It attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year, affirming the attractiveness of traditional cultural values and the growing prospects for the sustainable development of "cultural tourism" that Moc Chau district is aiming for.

Amidst the colourful flags and flowers, the bustling sounds of drums and gongs, along with cultural and sport activities and folk games, the Culture and Tourism Week has attracted a large number of people and tourists on the occasion of the Independence Day./.
