Mong ethnic group folk culture club launched

The People's Committee of Moc Chau district on December 15 held a ceremony to launch the Mong Ethnic Group Folk Culture Club in Pa Khen 3 hamlet, Moc Chau Farm town, and an experimental programme titled "Echoes from the Mountain and Forest."

 

Leaders of Moc Chau Farm town present the decision to establish the Mong Ethnic Group Folk Culture Club in Pa Khen 3 hamlet.

The club has 40 members, with a 5-member executive committee. For its quality activities, the district Division of Culture and Information has organized training on preserving cultural heritage; purchased equipment; held classes to teach Mong Du folk songs and musical instruments; and organized rehearsals for the "Echoes from the Mountain and Forest" programme for club members.

The establishment of the Mong Ethnic Group Folk Culture Club in Pa Khen 3 hamlet contributes to promoting the rich traditional cultural values of ethnic minority communities. It encourages and motivates the Mong people in particular, and ethnic minority groups in general, to actively engage in preserving their cultural identities. The club also serves the development of tourism, cultural exchanges, and helps fulfill local political tasks, while welcoming visitors to the Moc Chau National Tourism Area.
