Over 130,000 USD comes to flood-affected households in Son La

The Save the Children International (SCI) in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Standing Office of the provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Rescue, on October 3 provided cash aid for households affected by floods in 2024 in Tong Lanh and Tong Co communes, Thuan Chau district.

 

The Save the Children International (SCI) in Vietnam presents cash to flood-hit households in Tong Lanh commune, Thuan Chau district.

This aid is part of a 130,000 USD assistance package conducted by the SCI to help flood-hit households secure additional resources to cover their daily living expenses, stabilize their lives, and ensure the health and education of their children.

Residents in Tong Lanh commune, Thuan Chau district complete procedures for the aid.

The assistance package benefits 850 households in Chieng Den and Chieng Xom communes and some areas of Chieng An ward in Son La city, as well as communities in Mai Son and Thuan Chau districts, with 750,000 VND per person. The funds are expected to be disbursed this October.

Households in Tong Co commune, Thuan Chau district receive cash aid.
