The art of “Xoe Thai” of four northwestern provinces, including Son La, was listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2022. At the programme, artisans and art troupes performed the traditional “Xoe” dances of the Thai ethnic group in Son La, the ancient “Xoe” dance in Yen Chau, and art performances developed from the Thai ethnic folk dance. Within the framework of the programme, there were also activities such as bamboo dance, teaching “Xoe” dances and scarf embroidery, and folk games like To mak le, walking on stilts, and tug of war.
