‘Top’ panpipe dance performances celebrate Bac Yen’s founding anniversary

As part of activities to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of Bac Yen district and its Party Organization (1964-2024), ‘top’ panpipe dances of the Mong ethnic group were performed by artisans and residents in Son La and Yen Bai provinces on October 18, at the district stadium.

Participating in the event were four teams with more than 30 artisans and people from Son La’s Bac Yen and Muong La districts, and Yen Bai’s Mu Cang Chai and Tram Tau districts.

The event offered an opportunity for artists and actors to meet each other, preserve and promote the value of Mong panpipe art, as well as introduce to visitors the traditional art forms and musical instruments typical of the Mong ethnic people.
