These adjustments aim to ensure compatibility with local resources, local conditions, and new-style rural development criteria for the upcoming phase.

As of now, all the 188 communes in the entire province have met the first criterion (planning and implementation of planning), achieving 100%. Four urban master plans have been submitted to the provincial People's Committee for approval. The coverage of detailed planning within the approved urban master plans has reached 33%, with Son La city achieving approximately 40%.
