Chieng Dong commune’s children receive houses, medical checkups, medicine

The Hanoi-based Vietnam National Children's Hospital (VNCH) on October 24 coordinated with Yen Chau district to organize a programme to support the building of houses for; and provide medical checkups and treatment, medicine, and gifts to children in the district’s Chieng Dong commune.

 

The leaders of the Vietnam National Children's Hospital present aid to build a house for child patient Sung Tuan Anh in Suoi Duong hamlet, Chieng Dong commune, Yen Chau district.

The VNCH delegation presented 100 million VND (4,000 USD) to build a house for the family of child patient Sung Tuan Anh in Suoi Duong hamlet, who has just received rehabilitation treatment at the hospital; 60 million VND each to the families of Hoang Thi Hoa in Nhom hamlet and Lo Van Tuyet in Na Pan hamlet. The three are poor households in Chieng Dong commune. 

In addition, the delegation also gave 200 gifts, each including 500,000 VND in cash, and backpacks, candy, milk and toys; and medicine to the Chieng Dong commune Health Station. The total value of the programme is nearly 500 million VND (20,000 USD).

A doctor from the Vietnam National Children's Hospital provides free checkup for an disadvantaged child in Chieng Dong commune.

At the programme, doctors and nurses provided health consultations, examinations and free medicine for 133 disadvantaged children with cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, nutritional, rehabilitation, digestive, genetic, and endocrine diseases.

Free medicine is distributed to residents in Chieng Dong commune.
