The contest, to last until June 14, brings together 24 outstanding teachers from three vocational schools in Son La province. They will compete in the majors of computer network administration, auto technology, welding, industrial electricity, driving, vocal music, marketing, cultural management, husbandry and veterinary medicine, hotel management, folk dance, nursing, pharmacy, midwife, political education, informatics, physical education, and English.

The contest aims to promote the emulation movement in teaching and learning at vocational schools in the province, and help teachers improve their professional qualifications. It is also set to promote the movement of learning to improve professional knowledge, vocational and pedagogical skills, and renewing teaching methods, and discover, recognise, and honour good vocational teachers.

The best teachers selected from the contest will participate in the national round scheduled for November in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh.
