Currently, the district Women's Union has over 31,000 female officials and members, of whom more than 400 are leaders of district agencies and units, chairwomen of commune-level women's unions, and heads of women's union branches in villages, hamlets, and sub-zones. Women always take care of building happy families and actively participate in implementing political tasks in their agencies and units. Every year, thousands of members have access to legal knowledge and skills for building happy families and boosting economic development. They also actively contribute to the goal of "Gender equality and for the advancement of women" in Thuan Chau district.

At the conference, participants exchanged and shared experience and skills in dissemination, mobilisation and attraction of more union members, as well as good practices in implementing movements and campaigns of the unions at all levels. Thirty women who are exemplary chairwomen of women's unions at the grassroots level in the district were honoured at this time.
