'Gratitude Houses' presented to veteran families in Son La

The Veterans Association of Son La province, in collaboration with Hanoi-based Phu Minh Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, handed over two "Gratitude Houses" to veteran families facing difficult circumstances in Van Ho and Yen Chau districts on November 14.

 

The “Gratitude House” is presented to veteran Ha Van Tuan in Dao hamlet, To Mua commune, Van Ho district.

In Van Ho district, the provincial Veterans Association and the sponsor inaugurated and handed over a new house to the family of veteran Ha Van Tuan, a poor household in Dao hamlet, To Mua commune. The 56sq.m house has a total value of more than 60 million VND (2,364 USD), with 40 million VND from Phu Minh Construction Investment Joint Stock Company and the remainder from his family. The Veterans Association of To Mua commune mobilised workdays from its members and local youth.

On the same day, the provincial Veterans Association and the sponsor handed over another "Gratitude House" to the family of veteran Tran Trong Binh in Sub-area 3, Yen Chau town, Yen Chau district. The house was built at a cost of 80 million VND, half of them coming from Minh Phu, while the remaining covered by the family. The association’s members and relatives helped with the construction.

On this occasion, the provincial Veterans Association presented a gift worth 5 million VND to the family of veteran Ha Van Tuan. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Veterans Association of Yen Chau district, and various local organizations and businesses also gave a total of 8.7 million VND to the family of veteran Tran Trong Binh.
