Last year, Muong La coordinated with the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment to survey 40 ancient trees in five communes and town for recognition. Accordingly, the association agreed to grant the national title to 32 ancient trees of different types in Muong Bu, Ta Bu, Hua Trai, and Nam Pam communes and It Ong town.

The recognition of heritage trees contributes to raising public awareness of protecting environmental landscape and forests, developing biodiversity, and promoting tourism development, towards a green, sustainable economy./.
